Tesla Model Y - Walkthrough Tour

Well its been two months of waiting but the day finally came. A couple weeks ago we finally received our Tesla Model Y! We couldn’t be more thrilled, and to celebrate I wanted to give everyone a brief walkthrough of our car, and note a few of my pros and cons since getting it. Watch the full in-person video below, and read on to hear more about our new Tesla Model Y.

The first thing I love about the Model Y is the sleek exterior. We ended up selecting the black 20” inductions rims and are so happy with how they bring the rest of the black accents on the car together. We also selected the white interior which I personally feel gives the car a lighter look. We agonized over the interior colour but I am so happy with the white - it definitely feels more luxurious than the all black.

When it comes to storage the Model Y offers a “frunk” (front trunk), and a back hatch with a stow-away compartment. The first con I will note is the front does not electronically latch closed, you do have to be quite precise in where you apply pressure to insure it completely shuts. The other con I have found is there is no “hands free” access to either the front or rear storage areas. In other luxury vehicles there is usually some sort of foot sensor to open the hatch, but unfortunately the Model Y still requires a button to be pushed on either the car or your phone.

The interior dash and front storage layout is by far the sleekest I have seen, with no dials or buttons, all the controls are only accessible through the large dash touch screen. The front offers a wireless phone charger, middle storage compartment, and a console. As the shifting column is located on the steering wheel it really opens up this middle area.

Though the car does have minor inconveniences, I am still thrilled with our purchase and I cannot wait to take more roads trips with it, and bring you guys some more Tesla content.
